Marmite Toasty was so kind to send me this picture of her lovely house, taken at dusk, and the lovely garden surrounding it. Where's Janet?

ROTFLMRSSO!!!!!!!!

You nutter lol...... actually that is almost a dead ringer of me rich sisters old house...... my tiny little house would fit in that one about 4 times lol and mine aint thatched, but it did use to have slat tiles..... :)

and someone ought to tell the owners of that house to turn some of the dam lights off..... what a waste of energy..... goodness sake....

I was out at Southwick Village (3 miles from me) which is a 'postman pat' village as me lads call it....

I might do a post about it during the week..... well interesting place......

ok you well made me smile this evening LOL .........

I think I have been there. Doesn't Bilbo Baggins live there?

MarmiteToasty: I'm honored. I'm honored that my little post gave you a hearty laugh and a smile. You well made my day!

MyrtleBeachedWhale: I haven't visited Mr. Baggin's home. I'm sure you are right.

I lived in England for 6 years and I can assure you of one fact about this house. Marmite will attest to this. You can bet your ass there is a kettle on.

Jennifer - if you pop over to Twaddle in the week when I get a chance to do me next post..... you will see beautiful cottages in the next village to me by the handful.... and a wonderful quaint story that goes with them.......we have many houses like MrP's picture in this village...... but alas I do not live in one of them :)

and Myrtle........ always a kettle on :) even in this house :)

and once again MrP, you well made me day :) xxxxxxxx

Is it a Thomas Kincaid painting? I would love to see pics of the houses. . .so it's off to Marmite's for a tour.

Pinehurst:

Funny you should ask about Thomas Kincaid. I sent this email to Bill on Sunday.

"I thought I recognized the painting as a Thomas Kinkade. No English person would leave that many lights on. They are too frugal.

Great minds think alike.
