Three Beautiful Things 07/28/07: Lawn Crisis, Coffee, Playing Smart

1. Mom gets pretty worried about her lawn. Her lawn mower won't start. I was going to try to get it to start. Suddenly, the morning a Truth from the Heavens was revealed to me. Silver Valley Girl's youngest daughter, Kiki Aru, wants to mow Mom's lawn. She'll use PKR's mower. There is peace in the kingdom.

2. I had coffee this morning with Pinehurst in My Dreams. I have blogged about when she was my wife in the first grade. I played Santa; she was Mrs. Claus. We graduated from high school together. We talked about all kinds of things this morning and had a very good time. You can check out her blog here.

3. Ed and went to the Cd'A casino today and I had another one of those wonderful times. The conversation with Ed was terrific on our drive down and back and for only twenty-five bucks, I played for about six hours or so tonight. I played a wide variety of slot machines and stayed well within my budget. It's my favorite way of playing: never gunning for any big payout, but playing for low stakes and just enjoying the variety of the different games and their power to entertain me with their different visual and sound effects.

Hey, Pert. I really enjoyed our morning of coffee and chat - was sad that I missed the Deke, but enjoyed time with you.

It was fun to hear some of the stories of secret tunnels under the town, mysterious objects found in the walls of the Old McConnell. . .and sorting you out on my family - 3 girls. . .and a slew of outlaws, ahem, my in-laws.

By the way, the hunk's older brother is still in town with his wife. They will be going to Canada soon, before going home - just in case you want to get together with him.
