Otherwise I would have never been able to do it.
Maybe blogs are helping us to leave the "blank page" fear that most writers talk about.
Thanks!
RosaROSAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09848291106212651800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35367059.post-50969234536812395072007-09-14T05:03:00.000-07:002007-09-14T05:03:00.000-07:00I'm glad I found your blog. Even on my blog I find the SS essays less fluid than what I write on my own.

oh- don't tell anyone, but 7-11's fair trade coffee is the best!(how can real writers afford starbucks anyway?)ren powell https://www.blogger.com/profile/15593358547415514500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35367059.post-11742580008539317842007-09-13T00:36:00.000-07:002007-09-13T00:36:00.000-07:00Wow, I know exactly what you mean! When I was in college I wanted to be a writer, but I had perpetual writer's block when it came to prose.

We were taught how to write "appropriately" - that there was a "higher language" from which to speak when one had something original and intelligent to impart to others of like mind.

We wrote in the third person, detached, and from a "superior" point of view. We were not allowed to speak from our individual point of view, to use common language, or slang.

Today, people write how they speak and if they don't there work "feels phoney". So liberating. So imperfect. So real.Pinehurst in my Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14839389283883857130noreply@blogger.com
