Three Beautiful Things 01/04/07: Grace, Hoodie, Monet

1. Out photographing our neighborhood, I ran into one of my very favorite students, Grace. She is loving her studies at the U of O and is succeeding beautifully. Seeing her made me think how aptly she was named.

2. I experimented with photographing myself in the basement men's room in the Performing Arts Building. In this picture do I look like a monk or a mobster? Or just a fool!


3. An anonymous commenter to my "In a Perfect World" piece drew upon Monet's Haystack studies as a way of reminding me how very mutable the nature of the physical world is. I always enjoy having the impermanence of the material world reinforced. What a pleasure her/his comment was.
