Lane Community College Flowers: Abstraction

I enjoy abstract paintings and photography because they relieve me of the intrusion of shapes and figures and give me the pleasure of color, sometimes pure color. A few months ago I photographed quite a few spring flowers at Lane Community College. Here's what they look like abstracted from representation, seen primarily for their color. All I did was use Picasa's multi-exposure function:

    I am a color freak - and I especially love the second picture. It typifies the way I would like my life to look to others - Vibrant and Beautiful surrounded by calming peace.
