Three Beautiful Things 10-06-2026: Card Table Quandary, Trash to the Curb, Cilantro Pesto

1. Do I need a card table set up in the bedroom where I sleep? For months, the card table was my pill box filling, blood pressure cuff, and record keeping station, but I no longer need such a station now that I'm over two years past having had a kidney transplant. I did some rearranging of other items in this bedroom today and remain undecided about the card table.

It's not really a huge decision!

All the same, I'll make it before too long.

2. The City of Kellogg collects our garbage on Wednesdays, so I went over to Christy's and took her trash bags and cardboard out to her container and rolled it to the curb. It's much safer for Christy to have one of us in the family take care of this job until she regains more mobility and energy.

3. Debbie enjoys making different kinds of pesto and recently she made a batch using cilantro, cashews, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and I'm not sure what else.  It's terrific and tasted great over a bowl of rotini pasta this evening.
