Three Beautiful Things 11/30/17: Love Seat Shopping, Pho Thanh, Space Heater

1. The Deke and I decided we'd take a little trip to Spokane to check out a couple of furniture stores in our search for a love seat for our new improved living room.  It was interesting to see all the different options available, but I came away from both stores thinking we weren't the right people for what they had to sell. I don't think we presented ourselves as particularly loaded in the money sense of the word.  I was unshaven, wearing a hoodie, and my jeans were sagging. Oh, well. We gave the furniture shopping a go and started to head to north Spokane to look at another store and we bagged it and I steered the Sube toward Bigelow Gulch Road and we left town.

2. It was chilly, not frigid, but chilly out and we both decided a bowl of hot soup would warm our insides and put us in a better mood. We went to Pho Thanh in CdA. The Deke had a steamy bowl of chicken pho and I had shrimp won ton soup, stuffed not only with shrimp and won tons, but chicken as well. The soup hit the spot for both of us. We left full, satisfied, and warmed.

3. Back home, things were moving apace on the remodel project. The walls are painted and the trim is nearly ready to put up and we should have our cabinets up on Friday. The only bummer of the day was the furnace wasn't working, but Shawn had a huge space heater that we could use in the bedroom and we made it through the night just fine. An HVAC guy will be here on Friday and we'll find out what the deal is with the furnace.
