1. Here's the truth: GJs serves a larger portion of hash browns with breakfast than Brails does. I must always keep this in mind before deciding which cafe to go to for breakfast. This morning I ate link sausage and eggs with hashbrowns and English muffin at Brails and, for the first time in a long time, I drank my coffee black. I don't like half and half. I remember how pleasant cheap black coffee used to be to me. So I drank the Boyd's coffee black and, when at Brails, that's how I'll do it from now on.
2. Back to the dentist. I'm having a worn out crown replaced. As Dr. Stephenson injected three or four shots of whatever gum number dentists use these days into my gum, I thought back to when I was a kid and the shots of Novocaine made my lips and the side of my face and sometimes my neck feel like a pounded hunk of floured round steak. This afternoon, the area around the tooth went numb and my upper lip was slightly numb, and that was it. I left the procedure and could hardly tell I'd been to the dentist. That sensation bordered on pleasure.
3. Snug was a magnet today, not just wanting to be near me, but up against me. I enjoy that. A lot.
