1. The solemn high Eucharist was a fitting way to celebrate the Epiphany this morning.
2. At the Epiphany evening prayer service at St. Matthew's, I had a reunion with Rev. Doug Hales, whom I worked with over twenty years ago at Shakespeare Camp at Camp Latgawa.
3. Tim was at the bar at the Bier Stein reading Thoreau when I sauntered in and he welcomed me to join him and we enjoyed a couple of beers together and had a wide-ranging conversation: poetry, movies, NYC, publishing, teaching, and on and on. It was a great time. Oh! What beer did I drink? Two 10 oz glasses of Affligem Noel from Belgium and a half pint of 10 Barrel's Apocalypse IPA. Both beers were delicious.
