1. Josh, Jack, and Adrienne got up around 4 a.m. and were soon out the door on their way to the Spokane Airport, their trip to North Idaho having ended. I got up to say goodbye to them, sad to see them go, but confident that this had been a good trip for them.
2. Later in the morning, I headed out to Ed's house. Today was a good day to get away from it all and head down to Worley and mess around at the casino. We had a great drive down and back and yakked about a lot of stuff. Once we got to playing, I had no luck on my side, but Ed's fortunes were much better. Every time I checked on him, something good had just happened or happened soon and it was a lot of fun to see him enjoying the excitement of some good spins.
3. Back in Kellogg, Meagan and Patrick met Debbie and me at Radio Brewing after they rode the Hiawatha Trail from top to bottom. I enjoyed hearing their report and seeing the pictures Patrick snapped. We returned home and split a 22 oz bottle of Deschutes' Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, the magnificent Abyss, between the four of us and yakked for a while on the deck, appreciating the cool air and good company.
