1. I set in motion the last step of securing the data saved from the Deke's laptop that Olivia fried with a cup of water poured on the keyboard. The Deke will have the data soon.
2. The Deke got home from some errands. She bought one of her favorite Zinfandels. She and Jack and Adrienne went to the back yard. They told me to join them. Things weren't quite right. We needed some ciabatta bread. We needed salami. We needed some dolmas. We needed some smoked salmon. I sprung into action and raced to the Kiva, picked up what we needed to make eating in the back yard with a bottle of Zinfandel right. I got home, set up a spread on the picnic table and everything was almost perfect.
3. Almost perfect? What was missing? What did this perfect August evening need to make it complete? We had the cheese, the wings, the salmon, the dolmas, the wine, the salami, the ciabatta. What more could there be?
Of course: the Troxstar.
The Troxstar joined us in the back yard and he helped us swan dive into our cold cuts and he helped things out with some beer. Not only that, but the Troxstar thought an Old Fashioned sounded good, so I got to get out Mr. George Dickel with some sugar, bitters, ice, a cherry, and some water and make the Troxstar an even happier man.
