This post makes me want to visit the pound and bring home a dog. I had a yorkshire terrier growing up. Somewhere along the way, I became a cat person through marriage. Funny how those things happen.

I guess I'm missing out on something. I've never had a pet that gave me goosebumps. Very loveable looking pooch.

Rob: I appreciate that you saw and felt the warmth of my affection for Snug.

IEG: The goosebumps are ours and so is the love for Snug!

Paul: Thank you. I'm glad you appreciate the composition of my modest slide show.

Herb: I'll have to put together a piece on our cat one day. She lives in pretty good companionship with our dogs. Once I had eight cats.

Colleen: I'm sure plenty goosebumps you without you having this experience with pets. I'm happy you find Snug loveable.

Fledgling Poet: Snug loves hugs. Yes, Snug has two Corgi friends at home.

mks: Snug is named after the mechanical in A Midsummer Night's Dream who plays lion in the play within the play. I played that role a few months before I got Snug and named him after my character.

kikare: Give your dog a hug from Snug and me, too!

gautami tripathy: The last time I had a dog was in 1967 and Snug has made more of a difference than I can say in this comments section. He's a very good companion.

Nice video. Nice tribute - the music gives it a somber but fun mood.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

I would love to frame the shot of Snug looking up from the toilet -- his expression is priceless!! I was a dog person growing up and then became a cat person -- so now I'm a cat person who would love to get a dog one day!! Such a great tribute!

Snug is beautiful!! What a lovely tribute to him. And thanks for introducing me to that poem, it was really beautiful. I can imagine the little boy surrounded by love, contentment and security; it gives me goosebumps because that's what I imagine my own little boy feels when he's with us in bed.

What a fun slideshow - thanks for sharing Snugs with the world. Snugs looks quite snuggable - except for after the toilet bowl scene, of course... o_O

Dogs can be so funny - and so loveable.

To all of you who have commented on my video/slide show:

About Snug's name. It comes from the character,Snug the Joiner, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Snug plays the Lion in the play within the play.
I played that role on stage a month or two before I got Snug and named him after good old Snug the Joiner. It's been a perfect name.

For all of you who found the video sweet: I think what you experienced is how my love for Snug animates my picture taking when he is my subject.

Lissa: You nailed it. Snug has so many reflective and somber looks and I wanted the music to be consistent with that; he's also very fun and I wanted the music to reflect that, too. I'm so happy you saw and heard this in my video/slide show.

Marcy: The toilet shot is in the email, ready for you to print and frame!

You were right! This was a good pick-me-up! Thank you for sharing this beautiful creature with us. Oh, and thank you for sticking with me through my "blackout period." I've missed reading your stories. I'm still catching up on what you've done while I've been away.

So sweet. I loved a number of the shots. . .seeing Snug as a puppy - Ah

Sneaking a drink from the bathroom bowl - oops, I think I spilled some.

He does express a lot of emotions, moods, and silent query. I can see why he means so much to you.

What a sweet face he has, and I love his expression right after you caught him drinking out of the toilet!

Sadly, I've got no sound on the computer, so I don't get to hear it. But, oh, seeing it? How lovely! What a dogger! I love seeing people who have such great relationships with their dogs!

I finally got to see it, and what a great job!! The many moods of Snug. I think I have seen most of them this summer while he has been a guest at my home. Yes, the toilet bowl shot is priceless!!
