Three Beautiful Things 03/01/07: Radio NASCAR, Homeleaving, Silvery Moon

1. I listened to NASCAR's Goody's Cool Orange 500 race from Martinsville, VA on the radio and was amazed at how much tension I felt as Jeff Gordon bumped, bumped, bumped Jimmy Johnson, trying to pass, but couldn't do it and Johnson held on for the win.

2. I could not get myself to leave Kellogg and my sisters and mother. Finally, I left mid-afternoon and with stops along the way home, didn't arrive back in Eugene until about 2 am. I had class at
9 am!

3. The silver moon that emerged in the early evening made driving conditions wonderful and painted skyscapes that made me think back to having "The Outer Limits" on as background video to our poker game on the floating casino Saturday night.

Thanks for a great week. The laughter and adventures were so much fun. Look forward to our next adventures together, including the viewing of "Dante's Peak"!!
