Wucky, You are so right. I was, in my own cogent way, trying to encapsulate the burden of freedom and leap of faith all in one moment intended to illuminate the benign indifference of the universe. It's fun to remember how we used to discuss these weighty topics as we made our way through the midway, such as it was, at Frontier Days, wearing our "I'm a Buckaroo" buttons.
Deangelis, Did you post a piece for this week's topic? What name do you post under?
I actually thought of doing the same take on the prompt, then decided against it since I will probably be in throes of visiting next week and will miss that one. You can't fool me with that grumpy face. We all know you're an old softy!
Thanks for the comments you left bout my short story.
I just had to drop back by and tell you... I laughed out loud when I saw your post this morning. I believe I had that same expression several mornings this week.
Thought about a movie myself, but immersed myself in a Crossing Jordan DVD. Anyway, thanks for the laughter. Always enjoy reading your blogs.
